Task #2 - Streaming

I've been watching Coronation Street since I was born, but it's been on the air even longer than that. In fact, the show will mark its 50th anniversary in December. I love YouTube because not only can I catch up on episodes that I miss, but I can also watch gems like this:

This is from the very first episode of Coronation Street, which aired in December 1960, now available in streaming video on YouTube.

Not only can you find historical film and television videos on YouTube, you can upload and preserve your own funny or interesting experiences. There are also thousands of instructional videos to explore. Do you want to know how to tie a tie? Search YouTube and learn. Is Casablanca your favourite movie? Search YouTube and enjoy. Streaming video and YouTube are popular (and lots of fun!) because the experience is immediate. You can view a funny, nostalgic, or instructional video by simply clicking Play and without having to waste your time waiting for a download.

YouTube is already in my Bookmarks list, and I will definitely continue to go there in future.

  1. Confession: I've never watched Coronation Street, but I totally get the appeal. Coronation Street watchers (is that a word?) seem to be one big family!

    Great job embedding!

  2. Love Coronation Street! I've only been watching it for about 5 years now, and I'm hooked.

I miss liam...he was nice eye candy, and I hope Carla is coming back because I like the story line. Where's Tony these days??? Miss him too even though his evilness killed my boy toy Liam!

    Cheers,
    Carol
